Jane Sheldon was named Interim Vice Chancellor for Business & Finance in December 2024. She has served as the Associate Vice Chancellor for Business and Finance since 2013.
She has been employed with bet36365体育 since 1975 having been promoted through the Division of Business and Finance. Sheldon previously served as Interim Vice Chancellor for Business and Finance in January 2016-May 2016 and Director of Business Services from 1983-2013.
In her role as Interim Vice Chancellor for Business & Finance, Sheldon manages the university’s financial operations to support and promote academic excellence, fiscal responsibility and public accountability. Within the division are the offices of Budget, Facilities Management and Planning, Finance, Human Resources, Emergency Management, Plambeck Early Childhood Education Center, Police and Parking, Strategic Partnerships and Operations, and contracted providers that include Dining Services and the Loper Spirit Shop. The Vice Chancellor advises the Chancellor, oversees operations of the division and works with the university’s central administration to plan and carry out financial operations, set rates and fees and plan for construction and facilities maintenance.
A first-generation student, Sheldon earned both a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. She is an active member of the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO).
